Overview of Our Service
Scorpion Alert provides hardware devices ("Scorpion Detectors") and a companion mobile application that detects potential scorpions using ultraviolet (UV) light, image analysis, and alerts. We offer both one-time hardware purchases and optional subscription-based detection and alert services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use our Service. By using our Service, you warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Accounts
To access certain features, you must register an account using Google (and soon, Apple) sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for restricting access to your device.
Subscriptions and Payments
We offer optional subscription plans for enhanced scorpion detection and alert services:
- Monthly Plan: $5/month
- Annual Plan: $50/year
All subscriptions are billed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will stop future billing, but does not refund past charges.
Shipping and Returns
We ship within the United States. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and quantity. All sales of hardware are final unless defective on arrival. If you receive a damaged or defective unit, contact us within 14 days for a replacement.
Hardware Use and Safety
Scorpion Detectors are powered by 5V USB wall adapters. They must be used indoors in a dry, low-traffic area, and plugged directly into a standard wall outlet.
Do not tamper with or modify the hardware. Misuse may result in damage or injury and voids all warranties and liability.
Intellectual Property
All content, designs, trademarks, and software are the intellectual property of Scorpion Alert LLC and protected by copyright and other applicable laws.
Data and Privacy
We collect limited information for account management, device configuration, and alert notifications. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for any injury, property damage, or loss arising from the use of our hardware, software, or services. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy in scorpion detection. Our Service is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
User Responsibilities
You agree not to misuse the Service, tamper with devices, reverse-engineer software, or violate any applicable laws while using our products.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account without notice if we believe you’ve violated these Terms.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance.
